DS: $62.44 Penalties AS/NS: $74.92 DS Penalties Electrical Allowance: $35.82 p/w 8 hour days with overtime on weekends and occasional during the week. 1:1 (1wk Ds/ 1wk AS/NS) roster: DS 1 = 0730 – 1600 (M-F) DS 2 = 0600 – 1430 (M-F) NS 1 = Sun to Thurs, 1830 – 0230 NS 2 = Mon to Thurs, 1830 – 0230 AS = Sun to Fri, 1600 - Midnight Located in Claisebrook, off the train line! Intentions for a permanent full-time opportunity to be offered after probation period. Job Overview/Duties: Performing of scheduled and unscheduled work on the EMUs or DMUs, ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the Technical Maintenance manuals. Carry out scheduled inspection procedures and perform unscheduled repairs on passenger cars and equipment including, checking the function and assessing the condition of equipment, fault find electrical systems. About you: Proven workshop experience working as a Electrician - some exposure to mobile equipment would be advantageous. Understand and be available for a 1 to 2 weeks onboarding process. Flexible, adaptable, and versatile. Able to multi-task, time manage, prioritise, and effectively organise tasks. Able to work autonomously and unsupervised, with a focus on the task-at-hand to get the job done. A ‘can do approach’, productive and proactively searches for the next activity/task. Tickets and licenses required: Electrical License Drivers License You'll need to be able to pass a rail medical including a drug and alcohol test for this role.
